The 28-year-old manager of teen singing sensation Justin Bieber was set to face a judge in Long Island, N.Y., on Wednesday.
The Nassau County District Attorney’s office said Scott “Scooter” Braun of Manhattan failed to post a message on social networking site Twitter fast enough when a crowd became unruly at an appearance by Bieber.
Braun faces several charges including reckless endangerment. He was released on his own recognizance after the initial arrest in November 2009 at Roosevelt Field Mall.
Police said they asked Braun to send out a tweet saying the event was canceled. According to the DA, Braun took one and a half hours to send two tweets. His lawyer said it took seven minutes.
Braun could face up to a year in jail if convicted.

Teen sensation Justin Bieber’s only planned public show in Australia has been canceled with the star now playing behind glass for his own safety, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
Fans are reported to have reacted wildly to the news Bieber was due to perform at a shopping center in Sydney’s west on April 25, forcing a change of plans.
The 16-year-old Canadian will now be protected from his teen admirers with an appearance behind a glass window in Channel 7’s Sydney city center studio at Martin Place.
Bieber will perform his hit single “Baby” on the TV station’s Sunrise program on Monday, April 26 from 7 a.m. (local time).
The soul singer, on his first trip to Australia, will release his debut album on April 23, consisting of 19 tracks including hit singles “One Time”, “Favorite Girl” and “Baby”.
Teen idol Bieber has 200,000 followers on Twitter and is the first solo artist to have four songs from a debut album in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40 prior to its release.

Justin is saying it’s a rumor and wack so I wouldn’t be believing it!
Usher has praised his protégé Justin Bieber.
The ‘OMG’ singer, who signed Bieber, told the Los Angeles Times that he was impressed by the young star’s demeanour.
“I think it was, first and foremost, his charming, winning, timeless attitude [that appealed to me],” he said. “It’s as though he had been here before.”
He continued: “When I met him, his personality won me over. When he sang, I realised we were dealing with the real thing. His voice just spoke to the type of music I would want to be associated with. And it wasn’t a gimmick – we had to teach him how to dance and be on stage, but he really had a good voice.”
Usher also revealed that he gives Bieber advice, explaining: “Man, I tell him like I tell any artist, either be passionate fully about what you do or don’t do it at all. And understand that the perception of what you build is the reality of what they will believe.”
He added that Bieber is already mature enough to handle the music industry despite being just 16.
“As I said, I think that Justin has been here before, although he’s 16,” Usher said. “When you talk to him, it’s like you’re talking to a well-seasoned young man. It’s almost like he’d already mapped out in his mind what his story could be and it’s up to us to navigate him.
“There couldn’t be anybody more proud. He’s like a son to me. And never too much – because this is only the beginning. His story has yet to truly unfold.”

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – What do Adam Lambert, Justin Bieber, and Akon have in common? Well, other than the fact that they’re all performing at this year’s Wango Tango, not too much.
The three very different artists are, however, all current pop radio staples, especially on LA’s KIIS FM. The #1 radio station and home of Ryan Seacrest’s show is hosting the Wango Tango concert at the Staples Center on Saturday, May 15th.
Usher is also among the headliners, who’ll be joining his little protege Justin Bieber to perform for what’s sure to be an arena packed with screaming girls. They’ll both be performing tracks from their latest releases.
Never too far away is Ludacris, who appears on a track on Usher’s latest album, as well as the hit “Baby” with Justin Bieber. He’s also set to perform, along with current R&B radio chart toppers B.o.B and Iyaz.
“Sexy B—-” singer Akon is also joining the fun, along with Ke$ha and Adam Lambert, together for the first time since, well, their recent make-out session.
KIIS Club VIPs get first access to tickets beginning Friday, April 2nd. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting next week.

Justin-BieberImage Credit: Kevin Mazur/KCA2010/WireImage.comHaving already devoured QVC, the Billboard charts, and American Idol, Justin Bieber woke up Saturday morning and thought to himself, “Hmm, Saturday Night Live is ripe for the picking!” The 16-year-old singer was SNL’s musical guest last night, but I’m not quite sure I get the objective. Was SNL hoping the Bieb’s presence would get tween girls to tune in, or was this a step toward gradually expanding his appeal to, I don’t know, people who like music? Ultimately, the majority of SNL’s audience has probably never seen Bieber perform, so at least everyone got to find out what this “dreamy Christmas elf,” as host Tina Fey described him, was all about. And luckily, the Bieb didn’t have to worry about there being much comedy on the show to overshadow his two musical acts (sorry, Tina, but they gave you precious little to work with this time).
Bieber sang “Baby” and “U Smile,” the same two songs I watched him tape at American Idol a week ago (that performance will air in May). Vocally, he sounded quite crisp, although he stumbled a bit during the rap portion of “Baby,” which is normally done by Ludacris. The bigger issue, though, was the visual presentation. I have no idea what Bieber’s concerts look like, so all I can compare his SNL gig to is what he offered up at American Idol. Simply put, Bieber’s SNL act was an attempt to stuff his Idol extravaganza into a much smaller box. Behind Bieber were the same four male dancers, who failed to tone down their choreography for the minuscule SNL stage. The result was akin to watching an evening newscast directed by Michael Bay — way too much commotion for such a limited amount of space. And in my Idol recap, I warned Bieber about jumping in the air at the same time as his backup dancers, but he did so anyway. I don’t mean to be cruel, but the kid got as much air as this cat, and it doesn’t help that his backup dancers practically broke through the stratosphere.
But quibble as I may, it must be said that Bieber’s tunes are catchy despite being drenched in cheese, he seems like a decent guy, and every generation of tweens deserves its irrational infatuation. A few years down the road, these teenage girls will reflect upon their prior Bieber Fevers with equal amounts of embarrassment and nostalgia, and that’s part of the joy of growing up.
Bieber fans, did the Bieb’s SNL performance live up to your wildest fantasies? Adults, what did you make of the boy whose “smile is like watching a baby bunny sniff a tiny flower,” as Tina Fey pointed out? Does the Bieber phenomenon make any more sense now, or are you still just as puzzled?

In a recent interview with Complex.com, Justin Bieber said that he and Drake will be working together in the future. Drake also makes an appearance in Justin’s upcoming video for his hit single “Baby” featuring Ludacris.
Complex: We saw Drake in the “Baby” video, which was a bit of a random look; how did that come about?
Justin Bieber: Basically, he’s from Canada [Ed.—Bieber's from Ontario too], and we met through mutual people and became homies. He wanted to show love, so he came out to the music video.
Complex: Could you two ever work together?
Justin Bieber: For sure. He’s a great artist and we’ve already talked about it; we haven’t done it yet, but it’s definitely in the works.

Justin Bieber may be having body image issues, but it’s nothing a cougar can’t fix.
The teen pop sensation, known for his happy-go-lucky nature, is publicly lamenting his current People magazine cover.
“I look crazy as heck on the cover but if u can’t laugh at yourself u ain’t havin fun (sic),” Bieber tweeted upon the issue’s release.
Tina Fey helped Bieber laugh it off during his guest stint on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
During her sketch with Bieber, Fey played a teacher harboring inappropriate feelings for her favorite student, Jason, played by the 16-year-old musician.
“I don’t know if I want to marry him or put him in a stroller and push him around the mall,” she says of her student.
“His smile is like watching a baby bunny sniffing a tiny flower,” the teacher adds as Jason beams at her. “He’s good, like salt and homemade bread.”
The cougar’s “dreamy Christmas elf” proceeds to sing during various dream sequences as his teacher busts a move.
But what would a Bieber spoof be without a hair quip?
“I love the way his hair really knows where it wants to go, just like him,” the teacher says as her student exaggeratedly flips his mop.
After confessing she wants to give Jason “a bath,” her student says that he is contacting Gloria Allred, lawyer to Tiger Woods’ mistresses.
Bieber’s stint on “SNL” included performances of”Baby” and “U Smile,” two singles from his new album, “My World 2.0.”
“dont know what it was about 2nite…but I just felt like a baby bunny smelling a spring flower,” Bieber tweeted after the show wrapped. “felt good. like salt and freshly baked bread.”

Hey guys, just wanted to welcome you guys to the all-new Justin-Bieber.Org. You may remember me from JonasHQ.Org and know Neek from Miley-Cyrus.Nu, but now we have joined forces to create the ultimate fan source for JUSTIN BIEBER! New layout and more content is coming soon. Right now we are adding a TON of photos to our gallery – just to make it the best for you!
(CNN) — The Justin Bieber strain of fandom is so strong, it’s kept his name in the top 10 of Twitter trending topics for weeks on end, has caused injuries resulting from a mall melee, and has even led to an arrest.
Bieber’s manager, Scott “Scooter” Braun, was arrested last week on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance, brought against him after The Fever took over a Long Island mall last November, according to The New York Times. Braun was accused of taking too long to send a message via Twitter that the appearance had been canceled. Authorities were hoping that tweet would stem the crowd of 3,000 overtaking the storefront where Bieber was scheduled to appear.
But if you’ve paid any attention to popular culture at all, that story isn’t surprising. Bieber has been all over the place: on MTV, on top 40 radio, even chatting up the ladies on “The View.” The kid is practically a popularity magnet.
So what is the big deal? Is it the perfectly side-swept hair, the swoon-worthy swagger, the flirtatious — and remarkably consistent — tweets to his fans?
It’s all of that, plus the fact that he’s actually talented, music insiders say.
Yahoo! Music editor Billy Johnson Jr. admitted that when he first listened to Bieber, he was reminded of the late King of Pop.
“The tone of his voice and the way that he sings, it made me think of Michael Jackson,” Johnson said. “I almost thought, should I not say this? But he’s good. He can really sing.”
If you’re not a “Belieber” just yet, Rap-Up editor Devin Lazerine says the singer’s vintage YouTube clips are worth a look; a younger Bieber held his own crooning covers of Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and Usher songs. These videos not only helped Bieber develop a homegrown fan base, but they also helped him gain a bit of respect from those who would dismiss him as another product of the pop music factory.
“Older adult audiences can see when someone is trying to sell you something and shove it down your throat,” Lazerine said. “This is a little more organic, because he kind of did it himself — he got on YouTube. I almost wonder if YouTube should get a cut of this, because that’s how he got here.”
After being discovered on the site by his manager, Bieber was then introduced to Usher, who, after initially passing on hearing the teen sing, got into a bit of a bidding war with Justin Timberlake and ended up being the one to take Bieber on as a protégé. It’s given the teen a stamp of credibility that other YouTube stars haven’t been able to claim.
“Usher is an established and respected pop star, and if he’s endorsing this 16-year-old kid, the rest of us think that we should take notice,” Lazerine said.
Bieber’s management team has wielded that cred wisely, said Billboard magazine’s Monica Herrera, because they took their time building his name from YouTube to the music charts, mainly with the help of Bieber’s growing fan base.
“He was growing slowly, and the fans saw that — they felt like they were playing a role in building him to become a star,” Herrera said. “They became invested in championing him, whether it was buying his albums or watching his videos or tweeting about him, they all had a stake in wanting to keep him in the limelight.”
While Bieber hasn’t exactly crossed over entirely into an adult demographic, “there’s an awareness of him now. You can’t argue that that’s happened, in the past month especially.”
Between Bieber’s hit single, “Baby,” his lead part in the remake of “We are the World” in February, appearances on shows like “Chelsea Lately” and his takeover of the fairly adult humor Web site FunnyOrDie.com, the teen is inescapable even for adults who don’t have kids.
“We wanted to do something to trump Reba McEntire’s [takeover of the site last year], and we called up Team Bieber to do ‘Bieber or Die,’ ” explained Funny or Die’s head of production, Mike Farah. “Obviously, we know how big he is and how big he is online, and what [Web] site wouldn’t want to be a part of the Bieber phenomenon right now? He’s everywhere, and he’s actually really, really talented. This is his moment.”
That’s because he hasn’t let up on feeding the nation’s appetite for more Bieber — he’s released two albums in the past five months. The first, “My World,” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 6, selling 137,000 copies its first week, while the latter, “My World 2.0,” entered the charts at No. 1 with 280,000 albums sold in the first week.
“He’s got four times as many songs out as other people do right now, and he tweets about four times as often, if not more, as any other celebrity,” Herrera said. “That constant feeding of content to his fans is what keeps him there. People want to feel like they’re buying into him, and tweeting about him is an active decision on their part to keep him a trending topic.”
Bieber shows his appreciation by re-tweeting messages from his 1.6 million-plus followers on the social network site with a personal note, or giving a “random late-night shout out” to the his female fans, encouraging his fans to get in a dialogue with him. That accessibility has made him a mainstay, said celebrity blogger Jared Eng of JustJared.com and JustJaredJr.com.
“People consider him a best friend, like another version of Taylor Swift,” Eng said. “There’s nothing sexual about them — adults can take their kids to see their concerts, and they’re nonthreatening.”
But while Swift may have to contend with other young female pop stars for popularity, Bieber has “saturated the teen market,” Eng said. “He’s the only white, young male singer that girls can idolize. There’s no one else in that market space other than the Jonas Brothers, and one of them is already married, and another one has a girlfriend.”
The demand for Bieber feels new, Herrera said, because it’s something we haven’t seen in a while, since the days of the boy bands, but in many ways, “this is the traditional model of teen pop stardom,” she said.
“If you look at old Donny Osmond videos, they have a very similar vibe going on. It’s just a post-millennial version of that. It’s manifesting in a very old-school way, it’s just through these modern mediums that we’re using now. If Twitter had been there when New Kids on the Block was around, they totally would’ve been high up in the trending topics.”
Bieber’s star is so high, it’s hard to imagine where he can go from here, but Yahoo Music! editor Johnson believes that if he plays his cards right, he can have the career of the pop star who once wanted to sign him: Justin Timberlake.
“People laughed at ‘N Sync the way that people laugh at Justin Bieber — the music purists who dismissed ‘N Sync as a group that wouldn’t be able to move beyond the teen pop market — but look at what Justin Timberlake has done,” Johnson said.
“Timberlake crossed over on so many platforms, and in a lot of ways, Bieber is doing that now, by working with Ludacris,” he added. “You never know what will happen, but if he keeps a level head and allows his music to grow naturally, he’ll be OK.”
